PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for enhancing the effect of a cosmetic for protecting ultraviolet light. SOLUTION: The cosmetic comprises aluminum hydroxide-silicic acid-coated fine particle titanium dioxide hydrophobized with hydrodienemethylpolysiloxane which may be crosslinked in a form not combined with the polymer and/or combined with the polymer in order to carry out protection from ultraviolet light. Average particle diameter of primary particles of aluminum hydroxide-silicic acid-coated fine particle hydrophobized with hydrodienemethylpolysiloxane which may be crosslinked is preferably 0.005-0.04μm.
