In order to discriminate interfering signals coming at random timings from different radio stations, a method for storing the characterizing quantities of the interfering signals contained in a received signal, comprises the characterizing quantity calculating step of determining the characterizing quantity of the received signal, the received signal deciding step of deciding a probability that the desired signal is contained in the received signal, thereby to decide it, in case it is judged improbable that the desired signal is contained in the received signal, that the received signal is the interfering signal, and the interfering signal characterizing quantity storing step of storing, in case it is decided improbable at the receiving signal deciding step that the desired signal is contained in the received signal, the characterizing quantity of the received signal as the interfering signal characterizing quantity.
