PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recording color information saving consumption of recording sheets by improving an amount of information to be recorded on a recording sheet, and an apparatus for recording color information. SOLUTION: This apparatus for recording color information comprises CMY recording sections 103-105 respectively corresponding to three primary colors (C, M, Y) and a selector 106 for selecting one of the CMY recording sections 103-105. The number of pages of print data is counted by a counter 109. The selector 106 selects one of the recording sections such that the recording section to which the print data are transmitted is changed by each page, and then the selected recording section of the primary color records the data of three pages on a recording sheet 101.
