PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide treatment method of treating objects containing heavy metal components and a recovery method of heavy metal components from the treating objects, easily and efficiently removing the heavy metal components from the treating objects containing heavy metal components, facilitating treatment of the treating objects containing heavy metal components, and easily and efficiently recovering the heavy metal components from the treating objects containing heavy metal components. SOLUTION: The treatment method of treating objects containing heavy metal components and a recovery process of heavy metals from the treating objects comprise a process (1) for separating fine particles containing heavy metal components and magnetic powder from dispersions by a magnetic force, obtained by dispersing the treating objects containing heavy metal components and magnetic powders in water; and a process (2) for dispersing the separated fine particles containing the heavy metal components and magnetic powders in an aqueous solution of an extractant to extract the heavy metal components into the aqueous solution of the extractant, and separating the heavy metal components into the aqueous solution of the extractant from fine particles.
