Detergent and conditioning composition (A) in a medium, comprises an anionic (I), amphoteric (II), cationic (III) and/or nonionic (IV) tensio-active and cationic native starch (V) (having a degree of cationic substitution of 0.15-0.6), where the weight ratio of (I)/(II) to (III)/(IV) is higher than 1. An independent claim is also included for the process of washing and conditioning comprising applying (A) on the wet materials and rinsing with water after an eventual pause time.
