<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a technique for generating a line of images that enables easy and quick observation of the conditions of display racks, removing shielding substances. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing system 10 implements a process for storing in a storage means a reference image, in which no shielding matter is captured; a process of storing a plurality of original images of the same subject of monitoring captured at predetermined time intervals after the reference image is captured; a process of comparing the pixels of the reference image to the corresponding pixels of the latest original image and authorizing the original image as changed parts, if both pixels differ by a predetermined degree or more; a process of creating a binary image, in which the changed and unchanged parts of the original image are binarized; a process of labeling the changed parts and recognizing changed areas; a process for excluding the changed areas not greater than a predetermined area; a process of cutting a group of pixels of the remaining changed areas out of the original image and supplying a group of pixels of the corresponding areas in the reference image to create a corrected image, from which shielding matter has been removed; and a process of comparing the corrected image to the next original image.
