PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device, apparatus registration method and authentication information registration method in which stable registration processing can be performed while improving security when registering information relating to an apparatus. SOLUTION: The communication device includes: a setting means which sets the communication device into a predetermined mode; a first change means for changing communication power in accordance with mode setting due to the setting means; a connection means for connecting with an partner device after the communication power is changed by the first change means; a second change means for changing the communication power again after connection due to the connection means; and a registration means for performing registration processing of information relating to the partner device in response to an instruction from the partner device connected by the connection means after the communication power is changed by the second change means.
