PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a condition detector for a lead-acid battery capable of restraining a capacity from getting low because of discharge by a condition detector even when the lead-acid battery is stored for a long period, and capable of enhancing reliability by using no mechanical switch, and the lead-acid battery equipped integrally with the condition detector, respectively at low costs, in the condition detector for the battery and the lead-acid battery equipped integrally with the condition detector. SOLUTION: This condition detector is connected between terminals of the lead-acid battery, and detects a condition of the lead-acid battery, based on values obtained by measuring electrically a terminal voltage of the lead-acid battery, a battery internal resistance, charge and discharge currents and the like. In the condition detector, a driving electric power source is supplied from the lead-acid battery, a using condition of the lead-acid battery is detected on the basis of the detected terminal voltage, and either of a usual operation mode or a power saving operation mode operated in an electric power consumption lower than that in the usual operation mode is selected in response to the using condition for operation.
