PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that, in a non-aqueous electrolytic liquid secondary battery using a separator composed of a porous polyolefin layer and a heat resistant porous layer, the initial capacity and cycle characteristics of the battery are possibly deteriorated as the impregnation of the electrolytic liquid at the time of the filling and discharging of generated gas accompanied by charging and discharging are not favorable. SOLUTION: The non-aqueous electrolytic liquid secondary battery uses a separator in which a heat resistant porous layer is formed on a porous polyolefin layer. The heat resistant porous layer is formed intermittently in the longitudinal direction so that many non-formed portions of stripe shapes may exist in the heat resistant porous layer throughout all widths in the short length direction of the separator.
