PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure capable of efficiently dissipating heat generated in a semiconductor laser element by using existing components in an optical disk device such as a DVD player. SOLUTION: An actuator base member 111 is disposed on a surface side facing the optical disk of an optical pickup base member 100 through a tilt adjusting mechanism. On a surface side opposite to the surface facing the optical disk of the optical pickup base member 100, a semiconductor laser element 50, a half mirror 54, and a light receiving element 57 held by a metal block 60, and a metal heat dissipation plate 61 for covering these components and dissipating heat generated from the semiconductor laser element 50 are disposed. By fixing the heat dissipating plate 61 through adjust screws 117 and 118 for adjusting the tilting of the actuator base member 111, the heat generated by the semiconductor laser element 50 is dissipated through the block 60, the heat dissipating plate 61, the adjust screws 117 and 118, and the actuator base member 111.
