PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk reproducing device capable of correctly playing an optical disk even when the level of lowpass components included in a signal to be read fluctuates when the signal is read from a DVD-RAM disk with mixed with recorded areas and unrecorded areas, or the like. SOLUTION: A second lowpass filtering means 105 for extracting lowpass fluctuation of an input signal and making cutoff frequency variable is provided, and a hold control means 108 detects the reading of an unrecorded area of the DVD-RAM disk. When the reading of the unrecorded area of the DVD-RAM is detected, the second lowpass filtering means 105 holds lowpass components of a recorded area by making an input of the second lowpass filtering means 105 to be in a high impedance state before the second lowpass filtering means 105 follows a signal change in the unrecorded area.
