PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously perform colorful color display and stereoscopic light-emitting display with simple constitution. SOLUTION: An illumination device 2 is composed of: a transparent glass plate 3; a decoration part 7 formed by engraving inclined grooves 7A having inclined surfaces 8 diffusing and reflecting light on a surface of the glass plate 3; and a light projection part 10 which is arranged at the periphery of the glass plate 3 and projects light of a desired color on the inclined surfaces 8 of the inclined groove 7A. In the light projection part 10, light emitting diodes 11 projecting respective colors (red:R, green:G, yellow:Y) are arranged alternately in a line so as to direct a light emitting direction orthogonally to the side face of the glass plate 3.
