PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developable photographic sensitive material excellent in photographic performances as a material for printing plate making and having improved conveyance. SOLUTION: In the heat developable photographic sensitive material having on a support a photosensitive layer containing organic silver salt particles, silver halide grains and a reducing agent and having a backing layer on a side of the support opposite to the side with the photosensitive layer, a vertical curl value by the following measurement method is -1 to -40 mm. A method for manufacturing the heat developable photographic sensitive material is also provided. A method for measuring vertical curl: a heat developable photographic sensitive material is cut to a length of 45 cm and a width of 60 cm. After humidity conditioning of the resulting sample under conditions of 23°C and 55% RH for 24 hours, both ends of 7 cm from the upper side of the sample are taped on a vertical wall, the upper curl of the film at that time is measured at three points in the width direction (both ends and middle), and an average of the measured values is considered to be a vertical curl value.
