PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate transfer body which is satisfactorily improved in resistive homogeneity. SOLUTION: Regarding the intermediate transfer body used for an intermediate transfer apparatus for primarily transferring a plurality of visible color developed images successively formed on an image carrier with toner onto an endless traveling intermediate transfer body while successively overlapping the images on one another, then, secondarily transferring the primarily transferred image on the intermediate transfer body to a transfer material in a mass, the intermediate transfer body contains carbon black having volatile matter of 0.4 to 25%, a primary particle diameter of 10 to 30 nm, a specific surface area of 30 to 300 m2/g, oil absorption of 30 to 300 cm3/100g, and of≤pH4 and having an acidic group on the surface, binder resin and compound shown by a prescribed general formula.
