PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimally selectively use a method that distinguishes only a measurement item and a method distinguishing not only the measurement item but also a reaction line, according to each processing process. SOLUTION: This semi-random access type automatic analyzer equips a plurality of systems of reaction lines for component-analyzing a sample, and can measure an arbitrary measurement item by a photometric system common to two or more reaction lines. The measurement item, assigned to each the reaction line, is managed by identification name information for identifying each the measurement item by combining each the measurement item and the reaction line.
