PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chip saw which is used for a bush cutter, which can reduce noises generated on practical employments by processing a metal base. SOLUTION: This chip saw is characterized by disposing slit groups 8 each spread in a prescribed shape and comprising a plurality of curved linear slits 7 disposed in the metal base 1 between the adjacent penetrated hole groups which are obtained by equally disposing at a proper distance the penetrated hole groups 6 comprising many penetrated holes 5 formed in the metal base 1 and expanded in a prescribed shape.
