PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leaf packing/hanging apparatus for leaf tobacco, capable of sending a leaf tobacco hanging tool hung on a raising and lowering rail of a hanging device into a hanging rail of a drying machine with easy action, and therefore excellent in workability. SOLUTION: This leaf packing/hanging apparatus is structured so that a gateway space S for a worker is positioned between a leaf packing worktable 1 and the raising and lowering rail 12 of the hanging device 2, wherein the gateway space S is formed by ascendingly and descendingly positioning a transfer rail 4 for the leaf tobacco hanging tool 100 between the leaf packing worktable 1 and the raising and lowering rail 12 of the hanging device 2. Thus, the worker goes through the gateway space S, approaches a position just behind the leaf tobacco hanging tool 100 hung on the raising and lowering rail 12, and sends the leaf tobacco hanging tool 100 hung on the raising and lowering rail 12 into the hanging rail 13 of the drying machine 3 from the position.
