PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel rolling bearing having a simple construction for securing sealing performance in hitting a tool when assembled on a wheel, repaired or handled or in colliding with jumping stones when travelling. SOLUTION: A protecting plate is provided in parallel to a tight seal on the axial outside of the tight seal, and the protecting plate is mounted and fixed to one of an outer ring and an inner ring with a clearance from the other. The clearance is formed as an axial and radial labyrinth clearance. Furthermore, the tight seal has a slinger to which a vehicle speed detecting encoder is fixed, and the protecting plate is formed of a non-magnetic material, thus solving the problem.
