PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a sufficient strength and to achieve a weight reduction as far as possible in a water tank for a chemical fire engine while ensuring legal capacity. SOLUTION: Necessary strengths and capacity are guaranteed by a strength support section 26 assuring the necessary strengths for the water tank 22 and by an extending section 28 securing the capacity being short in the strength support section 26. Because the shape of the strength support section 26 is identical to a cross sectional shape of a tank for a tank engine made of curved surfaces, stress applied to the water tank 22 can be dispersed over the strength support section 26, the thickness of a wall material forming the strength support section 26 can be made thinner, and the strength support section 26 can assure necessary strengths without fixing many reinforcing members therein. The extending section 28 has a cross sectional shape that can be received within a gap between a partition of a tank installation chamber and the strength support section 26. Because the extending section has such a cross sectional shape, the limited capacity of the tank installation chamber is efficiently utilized and the capacity of the water tank 22 is increased.
