PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pants type disposable diaper capable of preventing the coldness of the body, not easily making a wearing person have the sense of incompatibility and facilitating a wearing operation without being slid down even after use, which is excellent on appearance as well. SOLUTION: An external coating material 11 is provided with an abdominal part flap part Fa and a back part flap part Fb respectively extended in front and back directions from the front and back end parts of an absorptive core 4. For the abdominal part flap part Fa and the back part flap part Fb, the end edges of them are extended exceeding the navel point of the wearing person in the state of wearing the diaper 1 and they have such a length that the abdominal part and back part of the wearing person are sufficiently covered. The diaper 1 is provided with a means capable of fixing the diaper 1 on a part from the iliac crest to anterior superior iliac spine of the wearing person in the state of wearing the diaper 1.
