<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-cabin illumination device realizing illumination of the whole in a cabin by effectively utilizing a monitor light of a monitor system for indoor illumination, capable of emitting a light with an optional amount of light and free color tone in a variable range as a light for illumination and enjoying illumination direction adjusted to occupant's (user) feeling and atmosphere. <P>SOLUTION: The in-cabin illumination device is provided with a monitor 1 mounted to a ceiling of the cabin; a monitor opening/closing detection means 2 for detecting the opening/closing state of the monitor; and a monitor control means 3 for determining an image display mode or an illumination mode based on detection output of the monitor opening/closing detection means 2, controlling action of the monitor based on the determination result and irradiating the inside of the cabin at the illumination mode making the light from the monitor as the illumination light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
