<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-weight and non-bulky gait training tool suitably used for gait training including the training of going up and down stairs. <P>SOLUTION: This gait training tool 1 is provided with a base 5 and an arch-shaped handrail 7 supported by the base 5 and curved and formed so as to be convex upwards. The height of the peak part T of the arch-shaped handrail 7 is normally about 110cm to 150cm from a base board 9. It is preferable that a height adjusting mechanism 15 for adjusting the height of the arch-shaped handrail 7 is provided. A length adjusting mechanism 14 for adjusting the length of the arch-shaped handrail 7 may be provided as well. It is more preferable that a straight handrail extended straight along the longitudinal direction of the arch-shaped handrail 7 is provided further.
