CONTROLLER OF HYBRID DRIVING DEVICE, AUTOMOBILE EQUIPPED WITH HYBRID DRIVING DEVICE, AND CONTROL METHOD OF HYBRID DRIVING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform engine start control by a hybrid driving device so that a driving force which causes a drive disturbance at the start of an engine is suppressed.

SOLUTION: When an engine start request is made (step S100), it is decided whether transmission torques to driving wheels need to be limited (step S110). When a vehicle driving force which is large enough to maintain a vehicle state even if a reaction force canceling torque canceling a reaction force due to the engine start is secured or during a vehicle travel wherein the possibility that the cause of an engine start defect is newly generated is low, a normal engine start is instructed without limiting the transmission torques to the driving wheels (step S120). When the vehicle is at a stop and no sufficient vehicle braking force is secured, the engine is inhibited from being started to limit transmission of a torque which may causes a drive disturbance to the driving wheels.
