<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the D.C. component of a high-frequency current flowing in startup of a high-pressure discharge lamp, and to shorten the period. <P>SOLUTION: This high-pressure discharge lamp lighting device comprises a bridge circuit provided with a first transistor series circuit and a second transistor series circuit for switching a D.C. voltage for supplying its output to a lamp as power; and a starting circuit provided with a choke coil, serially connected to a central point between the first transistor series circuit and the second transistor series circuit and a first capacitor for making the lamp start. The high-pressure discharge lamp lighting device is so structured as to include a second capacitor, connected in parallel with one of the transistors constituting the first transistor series circuit or the second transistor series circuit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
