PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability when entering directional information for indicating the movement direction of a cursor or the like by using a numerical keypad in a portable apparatus such as a mobile phone apparatus. SOLUTION: In a storage part 16 for associating operation key patterns with directions, each of a plurality of predetermined directions is registered by associating the directional information for indicating the direction with the combination of keycodes having possibilities to be input from the numerical keypad 111 when moving fingers to the direction on the numerical keypad 111. For example, when a user wants to input an upward direction, the fingers are moved from bottom to top on the numerical keypad 111. An operation content extraction part 17 outputs the directional information according to the movement direction of the user's fingers on the basis of the combination of keycodes entered sequentially from the numerical keypad 111 and the storage contents of the storage part 16.
