PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical isolator for facilitating the assembling to a small-sized laser diode module, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: A plate of a first polarizer 2, a plate of a magnetic garnet thick film 3, and a plate of a lens array 1 are cut and separated into individual optical isolators, after respective optical surface is made to face and adhere, and integrate. Here, the substance of the lens array 1 is optical glass or silicon, and the aspheric lens surface is formed on the surface. In addition, a ring band is formed to make a diffraction optical element having image forming effect. At this time, mold molding, etching or a laser ablating method is used.
