PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polypropylene foam with a low density for covering which is composed of an uncrosslinked polypropylene resin exhibiting flexibility and heat resistance and being excellent in expanding properties and recyclability and is excellently suitable for covering piping, electric wires or the like. SOLUTION: The polypropylene resin foam for covering comprises as a base material the uncrosslinked polypropylene resin, preferably a polypropylene resin which is composed of a propylene-olefin copolymer comprising at least 50 wt% of a propylene polymerized unit, has an MFR of 0.1-20 g/10 min and melt tension of 1.0-50 cN and exhibits strain hardening in the elongational flow. The expansion-molded product thereof has a density of 0.02-0.2 g/cm<SP>3</SP>, an average cell size of 0.05-1.5 mm and compression hardness of less than 5 N/cm<SP>2</SP>when compressed to a depth of a thickness corresponding to 25% of the thickness before the measurement.
