PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diesel engine system capable of preventing situation in which fuel economy is worsened to cool a supercharger and meeting an economical running. SOLUTION: This diesel engine system includes cooling means 1, 4 for cooling the supercharger 23 forcedly when automatic stop conditions for a diesel engine are satisfied from an operation condition of the diesel engine in which temperature of the supercharger 23 exceeds predetermined temperature in the diesel engine 11 provided with the supercharger 23. In this system, a necessity for maintaining the diesel engine 11 in an idle condition to cool the supercharger 23 is eliminated and the engine is quickly stopped when the automatic stop conditions by the economical running are satisfied to thus prevent the situation in which fuel economy is worsened to cool the supercharger securely.
