PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sinker for fishing to automatically adjust the line length under a float. SOLUTION: A main line 24 is passed from under through a through-hole 32 axially passing through a sinker body 36 having a required length. A supporting shaft 38 of a frame 42 formed in a nearly rectangular form with a metal wire, etc., is passed through a hole 34 of the float body bored at a position deviated from the gravity center G of the body to support the sinker body 36 in the frame 42 in a freely suspended state. The main line 24 pulled out from the upper part of the through-hole 32 is guided downward by a line guide 40 formed at the lower part of the frame 42. The rotation of the float body 36 is stopped by a rotation stopping part 44 when the float body 36 is transferred from the freely suspended state to a rotating state and the line insertion side of the through-hole 32 is directed upward.
