The servo actuator (1) has a hydraulic cut off device (12) with a bypass line (13), which has a control element (15) for regulation of the direction of flow. The bypass line is positioned in such a way that the piston (5) crosses over the bypass line before reaching the mechanical end-stop. A connection with the compression-loaded work space (3,4) is also produced.
