A fireproof resin sash (1) capable of easily providing fireproof performance to a general resin sash which is not of a fireproof type without changing the structure thereof and usable in fire zones, wherein vertical frame materials (11) and (12) and lateral frame members (13) and (14) are combined with each other to form opening frame bodies (10) as a plurality of synthetic resin members with hollows along the longitudinal direction, and vertical rail members (21) and (22) are combined with lateral rail members (23) and (24) to form screens (20), and the screens (20) support window panes (25). Fireproof sheets (15) and (15A) of a thermally expansible fireproof material are inserted into the hollow selected from the hollows of the members so that fireproof surfaces can be formed in directions along the surfaces of the window panes. The thermally expandable fireproof material is desirably formed of a material having a coefficient of volume expansion increased by 3 to 50 times after being heated for 30 minutes under the heating condition of 50 kW/m2 and a fracture point stress after volumetric expansion of 0.05 kgf/cm2 or higher measured by a compression tester with an indenter of 0.25 cm2. Also, rolled steel members may be inserted together with the fireproof sheets into the hollows, or wood members may be inserted together with the fireproof sheets therein.
