<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology which enables the more exact control of the temperature of a filter to a target temperature even when the internal combustion engine is accelerated in regeneration processing of the filter in an exhaust gas purification system of an internal combustion engine by feeding the reducing agent to an oxidation catalyst and increasing the temperature of the filter so as to perform the regeneration processing of the filter. <P>SOLUTION: In accelerating the internal combustion engine during the regeneration processing, the amount of an unburned reducing agent which is not oxidized in the filter is calculated (S109 to S114). After the acceleration of the internal combustion engine during the regeneration processing, a reducing agent of the amount to be subtracted (S108) by the amount of a basic reducing agent from the amount of the unburned reducing agent calculated is fed from a reducing agent feeding means (S107) so as to intrinsically control the temperature of the filter to the target temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
