<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a apparatus for measuring specific absorption rate, capable of measuring a specific absorption rate (SAR) used for evaluation of electric power absorbed by a human body, when using a portable phone in the neighborhood of the human body, at a high speed and with high precision. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises A probe means for measuring the amplitude and the phase of a two-dimensional electric field or a magnetic field in a phantom with simulated electrical constants of human body; an electric field computing means for calculating the three-dimensional distribution of electric field radiated with a two-dimensional electric field and a magnetic field at a measurement point as a wave source, based on the measurement results of the probe means; and a specific absorption rate calculating means for computing a three-dimensional distribution of the specific absorption rate, based on the computated results of the electric field computing means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
