<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball which is wear resistant and scratch resistant. <P>SOLUTION: A molding die 12 is made up of an upper die 14 and a lower die 16. Pellets 34 obtained by cutting a resin composition to a prescribed size are put into the molding die 12. One pellet 34 is thrown in to one recess 24. The fluidizing temperature T of the pellets 34 is 50°C or higher and 150°C or lower. The mass of the pellet 34 is 1.4 g or higher and 2.0 g or lower. The pellet 34 is clamped and pressurized and heated, and the resin composition is fluidized and a preformed body is formed. The difference between the molding temperature Tp and the fluidizing temperature T (Tp-T) is 70°C or lower. The rate Pp of a change in the weight average molecular weight Mp with respect to weight average molecular weight M of the pellet 34 is -30% or higher. A cover is formed of the preformed body. The rate Pc of a change in the weight average molecular weight Mc of the cover with respect to the weight average molecular weight M of the pellet 34 is -30% or higher. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
