<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the formation of creases at a flap section by opening a flap of an envelope with simple constitution without mounting a flap opening mechanism requiring complicated constitution and control. <P>SOLUTION: A paper guide part 20 of a printer 1 is provided upstream in a paper conveying direction of a resist roller 8. The paper guide part 20 is provided with an upper guide 21 and a lower guide 22. The lower guide 22 is provided with a recessed part 23 shaped to swell downward at an intermediate part between a carrier roller 7 and the resist roller 8. A guide space 25 formed between the upper guide 21 and the lower guide 22 is thereby shaped to swell downward so as to go away from a paper conveying path. When the flap 101 inserts the envelope 100 in the paper guide part 20 so as to face downward and downstream, the flap 101 opens downward in the guide space 25, and the tip is caught by the lower guide 22 to realize full opening of the flap 101 together with conveyance of the envelope 100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
