METHOD FOR SELECTING DEMODULATION METHOD OF DIGITAL BROADCAST RECEIVER AND THE RECEIVER THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for efficiently selecting a demodulation method of a specific channel with a digital broadcast receiver supporting a plurality of demodulation methods.

SOLUTION: The digital broadcast receiver comprises: a broadcast signal receiving part which receives a signal selected by a user from among digital broadcast signals; a demodulation control part which selects a demodulation method from among demodulation methods supported by the digital broadcast receiver, controls a digital demodulation part so as to perform a demodulating process with the selected demodulation method, and determines whether a signal output from the digital demodulation part is a correctly demodulated signal; the digital demodulation part which tries to demodulate the signal selected by control of the demodulation control part with the selected demodulation method; and a data reconstructing part which reconstructs data from the output signal when the output signal is determined to be a correctly demodulated signal.
