<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To devise ways for allowing a user to determining which of an infrared signal or a radio signal has cause a light source to be lit or extinguished, and to eliminate the possibility of false recognition of failures. <P>SOLUTION: This lighting device is provided with a power source, a lighting device energized by the power source, and the light source supplied with power from the lighting device. The lighting device is provided with a lighting circuit, such as an inverter circuit; a control system circuit for controlling the lighting circuit to control the lighting; a communication module for receiving a wired or wireless line signal for lighting control; an infrared light-receiving part for receiving an infrared signal for lighting control; and a generation device for forming buzzer sound and the like.
