PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dynamic vibration absorber and an optical disc device using the same capable of canceling a restriction on designing in the thickness direction. SOLUTION: This dynamic vibration absorber includes a base chassis 11 holding a spindle motor 13 for rotating and driving a mass eccentricity disk (not shown in the figure), a dynamic vibration absorbing element 14a connected with the base chassis 11 through first elastic bodies 15a, 15b, and a dynamic vibration absorbing element 14b connected through first elastic bodies 15c-15e, and the base chassis 11 and the dynamic absorbing elements 14a, 14b are mounted approximately on the same plane.
