PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a light and inexpensive bead cord having good moldability. SOLUTION: In an annular concentrically twisted bead cord with a siding wire 2 spirally winded around an annular core 1 to form one layer or a plurality of layers, material of the annular core 1 is medium carbon steel or alloyed steel having a reduced C content and a suitable amount of additional specified elements. A diameter d<SB>C</SB>of the annular core 1 to a diameter d<SB>S</SB>of the siding wire 2 satisfies a formula of 1.04≤d<SB>C</SB>/d<SB>S</SB>≤1.30.
