An oxygen-absorbing packaging material is provided. The material comprises a base layer, an oxygen absorbing composition disposed on at least one side of the base layer, a film layer disposed on the oxygen absorbing layer, and printed indicia to indicate information relating to a product to be contained within the packaging material. The oxygen absorbing composition comprises an oxygen absorbent contained in an emulsion. The printing appears on either or both of the base layer and film layer. The oxygen absorbing composition can be on one or both sides of the base layer, so long as it is covered by the film layer. |
