<p>Method for identifying acoustically critical sites on oscillating objects comprises forming a data set from a surface region of the object to specify oscillation amplitude and phase of points on the surface region, measuring the value of an acoustic transfer function for a number of selected points, calculating values of the transfer function and calculating the product of transfer function and oscillating amplitude for a number of points and selecting a critical point based on the product obtained.
