<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably grasp a corresponding relationship between a computerized document and a document made of a paper medium. <P>SOLUTION: This document management system uses an IC chip 1 attached to an actual document of a paper medium document, which is a document identifier storing medium storing a document identifier identifying the actual document, and an IC chip reader 2g which is a document identifier reading element reading the document identifier stored in the IC chip 1.
