PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly accurate diagnostic method of fluid rotary machines capable of setting unified criteria of judgement. SOLUTION: A first state data group of finite dimension is acquired by measuring a first state signal group made of a plurality of state signals indicating the state of a fluid rotary machine 11 at prescribed time intervals when the fluid rotary machine 11 previously having a machine element at a rotary part is normal. A second state data group of finite dimension is acquired by measuring a second state signal group made of a plurality of state signals indicating the state of the fluid rotary machine 11 at prescribed time intervals when the fluid rotary machine 11 is inspected. First and second time-serial matrices are created by converting the first and second state data groups into first and second dimensionless parameter groups.
