PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging body for covering a lighting device having an open bottom face type reflecting shade, which is provided with a shock absorbing characteristic and a superior positioning characteristic relative to the device packaged. SOLUTION: A packaging material 3 packaging a lighting equipment main body 11 and an open bottom face type reflecting shade 21 is made of the first-the fifth packaging parts 31-35. A square tubular packaging part 32 provided on both ends in the longitudinal direction of the packaging part 31 covering the closed wall 14 of the main body 11 supports the end wall 13 of the main body 11. The packaging part 33 and the packaging part 31 folded from the part 32 hold the ends of the main body 11 in the longitudinal direction vertically. The packaging part 34 folded from the part 31 holds the ends of the main body 11 in the longitudinal direction from the front and the back. The packaging part 34 is angle tube shaped having a slanting side 34a bent toward the packaging part 31 from the part 33 and a side 34c provided attached to the outer face of the side wall 12 of the main body 11. The shade 21 is positioned to be held longitudinally by the part 31 and the ends of the shade in the longitudinal direction are held by the parts 33, 35 superimposing from the packaging part 334 to the side 34a.
