PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize detection of an unidentified flying object (UFO) not observed by usual GHz band radar. SOLUTION: In the detection device for an unidentified flying object, in a chart of spectrum of echo of HRO observed using software for performing high speed Fourier transform, the echo having echoes of different Doppler frequency at the same time and the echo having abnormally varied Doppler frequency or the echo considered as far faster speed than the aircraft are mainly detected and when echo from a shooting star, echo from the aircraft and echo from a noise source are separated/eliminated and it is determined as the echo from the desired unidentified flying object, an alarm is emitted.
