A D-Xylopyranosyl-phenyl-substituted cycle compound of general formula I wherein the groups R¹ to R⁶, Z, X, Cy and R^7a, R^7b and R^7c are defined as in claim 1, have an inhibiting effect on the sodium-dependent glucose cotransporter SGLT. The present invention also relates to pharmaceutical compositions for the treatment of metabolic disorders.
