The method is for the control of a brake system of a motor vehicle which has an electrically regenerative brake, especially a generator and number of friction brakes, the overall deceleration of which consists of the deceleration portions of the friction brakes and electrically regenerative brake. A maximum nominal braking moment (Mmax) is predetermined for the electrically regenerative brake which is variably calculated from the travelling situation of the vehicle. A maximum nominal braking moment is calculated from a combination of a base value (Mmaxq) and a number of correction values (MI,MS). An independent claim is included for a brake system of a motor vehicle with a control unit which in dependence upon an actually determined travelling situation predetermines a maximum nominal braking moment for the electrically regenerative brake. |
