摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain sharpness of an edge and a background noise pattern while correcting windmill artifact. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of first images constituting a first image volume are obtained, the plurality of first images are subjected to filtering to generate a plurality of second images formed of the average of at least two first images. One first image is selected from the plurality of first images, and a disappearing noise image is added to one second image corresponding to one first image to generate an image where noise is recovered, and on the basis of a pixel value in the plurality of second images, a gradient image including a gradient value is determined in each pixel position in the second images (603).
