DISPLAY DEVICE, ITS DRIVING METHOD, AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which suppresses the influence by a fluctuation in a current value of a light emitting element due to a change of an environmental temperature and a change with lapse of time.

SOLUTION: The display device is provided with a monitor element 107 driven by a constant current, detects a voltage applied to the monitor element and applies the voltage to the light emitting element. Namely, the monitor element is low-current driven and the voltage applied to the monitor element is applied to the light emitting element. The light emitting element is constant-current driven. As a result, the fault that the occurrence of a variation in the luminance is resulted in case of the change in the environment temperature and the occurrence of the change in the lapse of time is eliminated by the nature possessed by the light emitting element.
