<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image encoder capable of reproducing a supervisory video image in an optional most recent timing at random with optional image quality without the need for a large capacity memory and complicated control in a supervisory camera system connected to a network. <P>SOLUTION: An encode section 60a applies compression to an image received from an image input device 41 and a storage DCT section 52 and a storage quantization section 53 carry out in-frame compression encoding at the same time, a code storage section 54 temporarily stores image information so as to store a most recent image without the need for a large capacity memory, and a reproduction control section 43 can reproduce the supervisory video image in an optional most recent timing at random with optional image quality without the need for complicated control. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
